“From the first page on this book touched me and got me hooked. It was so much more outstanding than the first book in this series. In the first novel ‘Pleasures of the Night’ I already had a thing for Connor and this novel just confirms why that is.
This is one of those books that you just cannot put down. Incredibly filled with humour, thrills and passion, this book holds almost all you desire. It’s written with such a flair that it is very easy to read and entertaining. Sylvia used a humour in the dialogues that I could really appreciate and thought was very funny! Emotions are well-described but you have to read between the lines to feel the intensity of where they came from. With that in mind - it is a great read for whichever mood you are in.
This book … has our utmost recommendation. Sylvia Day has made a great breakthrough in this series with this second novel in the Dream Guardians series. It’s a great mixture of paranormal and erotica.”

“This is the second of Day’s novels for me. I’ve found the following things common with both, unrelated books: raw sexuality, beautifully described emotions, heroes that are heroic, and some top-notch writing.
“The story introduces us to an alternate stream of reality called Twilight and an alien species, the Guardians. It touches on alternate mythology related to ones we all know. It will be interesting to see how Day continues to differentiate this alternate world from all the other “alternates” out there. This was different enough to keep me from being bored. And Day’s writing is just excellent. Her emotional development is among the best I’ve read. The next book should be even more fun since Day should get more into the backstory of the Guardians.
